Multi-Residential Architecture – Poets Lane

Poets Lane is a multi-residential project designed for livability and connection — located at 26 Lane Street, Clontarf, recently approved and soon to begin construction.

Tucked between land and sea, the site holds a quiet rhythm. The building’s design draws inspiration from the meadows of Moreton Bay and the gentle layering of its coastal context. Here, our client envisioned a contemporary apartment building — not loud or imposing, but one that offers a more human scale — a place to live, not just reside.

At D’lek Architects, we responded to that vision with a design that listens — not only to the site, but to its unique context.

The building rises softly from the ground. Its curved form and layered greenery create a sense of movement and calm. Vertical gardens cascade down the façade, echoing the tranquil waters and lush seagrass meadows of Moreton Bay, softening the strong architectural lines with a living texture.

The development offers spacious, well-appointed residences, including two-bedroom, two-bathroom layouts designed for comfort and modern living.

In a setting often defined by volume and velocity, Poets Lane offers something quieter. It doesn’t compete for height or dominance, but leans into connection — with place, with nature, and with the future residents who will call it home.

Material choices are honest and warm — natural textures, muted tones, and light-filled interiors that reflect the stillness of the site. As a result, the structure favours restraint: soft curves, generous glazing, and considered transitions from outside to in.

This is architecture designed to be lived in — not just viewed. It doesn’t demand attention but rewards it, gradually revealing its depth.
