Multi-Residential Architecture – Poets Lane Apartments, Clontarf
Poets Lane Apartments, Clontarf
A multi-residential development designed for livability, connection and long-term appeal. Recently approved and preparing for construction, the project reflects a quieter, more considered approach to apartment living in Brisbane’s coastal suburbs.
A Site Between Land and Sea
Tucked between land and sea, the site holds a calm, rhythmic presence. The architecture draws inspiration from the meadows of Moreton Bay and the soft layering of its coastal setting. The client’s vision was clear: a contemporary apartment building that feels grounded and human in scale – not loud or imposing, but a place to live, not just to reside
A Design That Listens
At D’lek Architects, we responded with a design that listens – not only to the client, but to the site’s natural and urban context.
The building rises gently from the ground, with a curved form and vertical greenery that soften the architecture and support a sense of calm. Cascading gardens across the façade mirror the textures of Moreton Bay’s landscape, adding a living layer to the built form.
Living Spaces with Purpose
The development features spacious two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments designed for comfort, optimal airflow and ample natural light. Internal planning prioritises function without compromising form, supporting long-term livability for residents seeking a more refined pace of life.
A Quiet Alternative to the Expected
In a setting often defined by volume and speed, Poets Lane offers a quieter alternative. It doesn’t compete for dominance, but instead fosters connection to place, to nature, and to the future residents who will call it home.
Materiality That Reflects Stillness
Natural textures, muted tones, and generous glazing define the palette. Curved edges and layered outdoor spaces create soft transitions from exterior to interior, reinforcing a calm and considered living environment.
A Subtle and Confident Vision
This is apartment architecture designed for living, not just for viewing.
Poets Lane represents the kind of work we do at D’lek Architects – thoughtful, contextual, and quietly confident.
If you’re planning a multi-residential project with similar sensitivity to place, we’d welcome the opportunity to be involved.
